A bout of the jitters is starting to break out among Labour people ahead of tomorrow’s results in the London Mayoral elections.
Those around Khan have long been predicting that the race against his Conservative opponent Susan Hall will be “close”, despite a series of opinion polls putting Khan as much as 22 points ahead.
One senior City Hall source told me today that they were now “really worried” about the result, adding that they believed the polls are way off and Hall could yet win.
So are they right? Or is this all just expectations management? Here’s what I think is really going on.
