Last weekend the Conservative Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick made his latest call for the banning of pro-Palestinian marches.
Labelling the planned October 7 protests a “f***ing disgrace”, Jenrick repeated his demand for the Government to stop those planning to peacefully march against genocide.
Speaking at the Conservative party conference, Jenrick said that if the protesters wouldn’t call off the protests themselves then a “change in the law” would be required to prevent the threat he claimed their actions posed to Jewish people.
“We should be giving the police the ability to say enough is enough,” Jenrick said, while describing the actions of the protesters as being “un-British”.
Yet within days, Jenrick’s claimed concern with protecting the sensitivities of religious minorities appeared to vanish.
