Rishi Sunak’s official spokesman served his final day in the job on Thursday.
The man, who convention has prevented me from referring to by his actual name of Max Blain, worked for Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss and Boris Johnson.
He was without doubt the most capable official Number 10 spokesperson I have seen in action since I first started reporting from Westminster over a decade ago.
Unfortunately, he was also a liar.
