There is one British politician who has done more damage to the UK in the past 13 years than any other. It's not Boris Johnson, who blew up his own premiership before he could properly get going. Nor is it Liz Truss, whose six weeks in office had a heavy, but ultimately temporary impact.

It's not even David Cameron, whose disastrous decision to call a referendum on Brexit has left the British economy hobbled for at least a generation.
