When the obituaries are finally written for this Conservative Government, the blame will likely be laid at a number of different doors.

Liz Truss and her rapidly-imploding premiership will no doubt feature prominently, as will the lies and betrayal of Boris Johnson’s Partygate scandal.

Rishi Sunak too, with his CBeebies-style speech delivery and Elon Musk-style bank balance, will also feature high up the list of available scapegoats.
