Way back in 2014 I was a lobby reporter for Politics.co.uk and part of my job involved covering the then London Mayor Boris Johnson.
One evening that year I attended Johnson’s annual question and answer session with Londoners called ‘State of London’ at the O2.
As part of my job I live-tweeted the event and noted that the then Mayor was getting a hard time from the audience on the issue of housing.
The event’s host Nick Ferrari read out my fairly bland tweet and attributed it to me.
However, when Ferrari mentioned my name it provoked an extraordinary reaction from Johnson. You can watch the remarkable exchange below in full to see for yourself.
