I’ve been a lobby journalist working in the Houses of Parliament for some 13 years now.
In that time I’ve attended dozens of party conferences, including with the Conservatives, and I’ve never had a single complaint about my behaviour, or coverage.
Even under Boris Johnson, who I was probably more critical of than any other recent Prime Minister, there was never any attempt to prevent me from attending.
However, as I explained to James O’Brien on LBC yesterday, that all changed when Kemi Badenoch became Conservative leader.
