One year ago this week I set out my five predictions for the political year ahead.

Looking back at my list I’m pretty pleased with how I did. Four out of the five predictions are pretty clear hits, with events overwhelmingly turning out as I had forecast.

However, one of the predictions I made fell into an embarrassing trap that I am determined to avoid repeating.

Here’s what I got right and wrong over the past 12 months.
